This woman hired me to take her portrait. All she said at first was that she wanted some abstract nudes. Later we started talking more, I asked her if she had any ideas or things that were personal to her. She sent me to a blog she had which partly told about the things she went through as a young teenager to woman.
She wanted to have certain words on parts of her body, and I asked her to bring a piece of paper with writing on it.
The words:
Does it really matter that there are different parts of me that may never be put back together?
Does it really matter if one can be so beautiful on the outside, but have no insides? Is that beauty real?
Does it really matter when I am broken and hollow inside?
Does it really matter that when I wake there is still darkness?
Does it really matter that my ability to love was stolen from me?
Does it really matter if love exists?
Does it really matter what is real and what is not real?
